What to wear is always a problem, but in summer, not only the style of clothing, but also the fabric of clothing is very important. Summer temperatures require clothing that is light, breathable, and cool enough. It is well known that many girls wear whatever they want to keep cool in the summer. In shopping malls, offices and other indoor areas, the air-conditioning is really sufficient in the summer. The huge temperature difference between indoor and outdoor also makes summer a season prone to colds.
As a poor rhinitis patient, I have to wear an extra long sleeve indoors. But even if you go to a coffee shop with friends to sit for a while, you have to carry a piece of clothing, which is really troublesome.
Today I will share with you what kinds of clothes are made of materials that can meet the needs of us weaklings to cope with temperature differences in summer.
01: Natural materials
The view that I have been taught since I was a child is: “Natural materials should be chosen for fabrics. Natural materials are the best.” it’s the best”. Although there are many excellent synthetic fabrics now, when buying clothes, I always unconsciously want to see more natural materials on the fabric ingredient list.
1: Cotton
Pure cotton fabric refers to fabrics produced with cotton as raw material. Generally speaking, pure cotton fabrics have better moisture absorption and heat resistance, and are comfortable to wear.
Cotton fiber, under normal circumstances, can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, with a moisture content of 8-10%. So it contacts people’s skin and makes people feel soft but not stiff. If the humidity of the cotton cloth increases and the surrounding temperature is higher, all the moisture contained in the fiber will evaporate. Keeps the fabric in a water-balanced state, making people feel comfortable.
It is easy to sweat in summer, so moisture absorption is a very important fabric selection criterion. Moreover, as a natural fiber, cotton fiber is mainly composed of cellulose. After many tests and practices, there is no irritation when the fabric comes into contact with the skin. This is why cotton is used as the main material, whether it is face towels or baby products. Also because cotton is easier to dye and process, pure cotton clothes come in a variety of styles and are highly selective.
Pure cotton fabric can be said to be a very worthy choice of clothing fabric all year round, and it is also the most common clothing fabric, so stop here. , I won’t go into too much detail.
2: Real silk
As a traditional high-end fabric, real silk has a long history and is relatively expensive. It is soft, silky, and very breathable. If you can afford it, it is very suitable as a summer clothing fabric.
However, there are really many silk fabrics. There are about 43 types on the market for different purposes. After reading a lot of information, I still can’t make a clear distinction. Today I will introduce to you two types of silk that are easier to care for and suitable for daily wear.
Stretch satin: Compared with plain crepe satin, it has a certain elasticity, is not easy to wrinkle, and is easy to take care of. It makes up for the shortcomings of pure silk and is suitable for scarves. Cheongsam etc.
It is characterized by good elasticity, comfort, relatively small shrinkage and unique style. This is not 100% silk, other ingredients are added, the fabric is elastic and the drape is quite good. Since it is a woven fabric, the quality of the material depends on the specific gravity of the silk. The greater the specific gravity of the silk, the more satin-like the feel will be and the more beautiful the luster will be.
Crepe de Chine: Made of mulberry silk as raw material, the fabric is plain weave. This fabric is also called crepe de chine. After refining and finishing, the surface of the fabric becomes wrinkled, with slightly concave and convex and wavy scale wrinkles. It has a soft luster, soft hand feel, comfortable wearing, good breathability and good anti-wrinkle performance.
This silk fabric has a wide range of uses and is often used to make shirts, skirts, etc. It is produced in many areas of our country and exported to the world. It is an important variety in my country’s silk and satin production and export.
In short, wrinkle resistance is a very important criterion when choosing silk fabrics. I guess no girl is willing to get up early to iron her skirt before going to work every day.
3: Linen
>
Modal, Tencel and Lyocell, which have become popular underwear materials in recent years, are actually a type of regenerated fiber.
There are two main types of regenerated fibers: viscose fiber and rich fiber. in
Viscose fiber has the basic properties of natural cellulose fiber, good hygroscopicity, cool and comfortable to wear, not prone to static electricity, fluffing and pilling, soft hand feel, good hanging weight, good dyeing performance and bright color, but the fabric has poor elasticity and is easy to It wrinkles and is not easy to recover, so the shape retention of the clothing is poor. The wet strength of viscose fiber is low, only 60% of the dry state, and the fabric shrinkage is large.
Rich and strong fiber, its strength, especially wet strength and elasticity are better than those of viscose fiber, which has greatly improved the wearing performance. Viscose fiber is widely used in skirts, shirts and linings. It is blended with other synthetic fibers to improve the hygroscopicity and comfort of the fabric and blended with wool to reduce the price.
Therefore, when purchasing summer clothing, remember to avoid clothing made of fabrics with high viscose content. After drying it carefully, it becomes two meters long. The two clothes drying racks on the shoulders are bulging and cannot be ironed.
3: Polyester fiber
Polyester fiber, commonly known as “polyester”. It is obtained by spinning organic and polycondensation polyester, referred to as PET fiber, and is a polymer compound. Invented in 1941, it is currently the largest variety of synthetic fibers. The biggest advantage of polyester fiber is that it has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention, and has high strength and elastic recovery ability. It’s durable, wrinkle-resistant, iron-free, and non-sticky.
Polyester fiber has high strength and elastic recovery ability, so it is durable, wrinkle-resistant and requires no ironing. Its light fastness is better than that of acrylic fiber, and its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabrics. Especially its light fastness behind glass is very good, almost as good as acrylic fiber. In addition, polyester fabrics have good resistance to various chemicals and are not greatly damaged by acids and alkalis. At the same time, they are not afraid of mold or insects.
Good polyester fiber. On the one hand, blending technology can make polyester fiber more comfortable. For example, adding high-component cotton can make it more comfortable. Improve its feel, add spandex to make it stretchy, etc. On the other hand, many polyester fibers are now made into functional products, and the comfort is even better than cotton. The famous Uniqlo HEATTECH is actually also polyester fiber.
Summary: I have basically introduced some daily fabrics to you. Summer clothing basically has to be worn close to the body, so it does take some thought. The choice of fabric should pursue good comfort and safety. Keeping the above points in mind, you can also have a cool and comfortable summer.
