Chiffon is a transparent, lightweight plain fabric made from twisted yarn that gives it a slightly rough feel. Yarn is usually made from silk, nylon, polyester or rayon. Chiffon is easily dyed and is often used in scarves, blouses, and dresses, including wedding and ball gowns, because of its lightweight, flowy texture.
