Characteristics of Modal fiber:

(1) Modal has the characteristics of high strength and uniform fiber. The wet strength is about 50% of the dry strength, which is better than the performance of viscose and has good spinnability and weaving properties. Modal fiber has a high wet modulus, and its yarn shrinkage is only about 1%, while the boiling water shrinkage of viscose fiber yarn is as high as 6.5%.

It can also be spun on ring, rotor and air-end spinning machines, and can obtain fine yarns with almost no defects, which is suitable for weaving. Light fabrics (such as 80g/m2 ultra-thin fabrics) and heavy fabrics, the ultra-thin fabrics have good strength, appearance, feel, drape and processing performance, and the heavy fabrics are thick but not bloated.

(3) Modal fiber spinning can produce more uniform evenness, and can be blended with other fibers in different proportions, such as wool, cotton, linen, silk, polyester, etc. to obtain high-quality yarn. Modal fiber can be processed using traditional cellulose fiber pretreatment, bleaching and dyeing processes. Traditional dyes used for dyeing cellulose fibers, such as direct dyes, reactive dyes, vat dyes, sulfur dyes and azo dyes, can be used to dye Modal fabrics, and with the same dye uptake rate, Modal fabrics The color is better, brighter and brighter. Modal fiber properties

1. The fineness of modal fiber is 1dtex, while the fineness of cotton fiber is 1.5’2.5tex, and the fineness of silk is 1.3dtex. Modal fiber is soft, smooth, bright in color, the fabric feels particularly smooth, and the cloth surface has a bright luster. It has better drape than the existing cotton, polyester, and rayon. Washing of modal fabrics

1. When washing with water, soak it as you go. The soaking time should not exceed 15 minutes. Viscose fiber fabric will harden when exposed to water, and the fiber structure is very unstable. Wash it gently when washing to avoid fluffing or cracking.

2. Use neutral detergent or low-alkali detergent. The temperature of the washing liquid should not exceed 35 degrees. When draining after washing, you should fold the clothes and squeeze out a lot of water. Do not twist them to avoid excessive deformation.

3. After washing in the lotion, wash it with clean warm water first, and then wash it with cold water. Otherwise, part of the detergent will stick to the clothes and will not be easily washed off, causing light-colored clothes to turn yellow.

When wearing, you should try to reduce friction and pulling, change and wash frequently to prevent long-term deformation; after washing, drying, and ironing, clothing should be stacked flat and separated by dark and light colors.
