Coiling mechanism

On the loom, in order to make the weaving process proceed continuously, the fabric that has been formed must be continuously and evenly drawn away from the cloth mouth and rolled into a certain package. This is the rolling process of the fabric. The winding leisure is completed by the winding mechanism. The on-machine weft density of the fabric is determined directly by the take-up mechanism.
The coiling mechanism has two forms: mechanical coiling and electronic coiling.
1. The structure and principle of the mechanical coiling mechanism
The coiling mechanism of the water jet loom adopts a positive continuous coiling device, see Figure 3-19. When the loom is running, the synchronous pulley on the main shaft 1, the synchronous toothed belt 2, the synchronous pulley 3, the transmission reduction gearbox 4, and the three conversion gears 5 through the clutch gear 12 and the winding driving gear 13, the latter one Only the gear transmission gear 22 is changed. The sprocket 15 and the pinion gear 16 are coaxial with the gear 22. The pinion gear 16 can drive the coiling gear 17, and the coiling gear 17 is coaxial with the friction roller 6, so it drives the friction roller 6 together. Turn. The surface of the friction roller 6 is covered with a layer of rough rubber, and under the action of the two pressure rollers, it generates friction with the fabric wound on the surface of the friction roller and sends the fabric to the cloth winding roller. The cloth take-up roller 7 is driven by the take-up sprocket 15 through the chain 18 to the flywheel 19, and the coaxial gear transmission of the flywheel 19 and the cloth take-up roller 7 are coaxial with the cloth take-up roller driving gear 20, thereby driving the cloth take-up roller 7 to rotate. As the take-up roller continues to take up the fabric, the diameter of the take-up roller continues to increase, and the tension of the fabric also increases. At this time, the take-up brake 8 exerts a slipping effect, slowing down the speed of the take-up roller, thereby causing the fabric to The tension drops and remains at a certain level. When using manual coiling and rewinding, you can step on the coiling pedal 10 to disengage the clutch meshing gear 12, and then rotate the coiling handle 11 to perform manual coiling and rewinding.

The counting gear 14 and the friction roller 6 rotate coaxially together, and then drive the length meter 21 to work, showing the length of the woven fabric.
2. Weft density setting
The number of weft yarns contained in the unit length of the fabric is the weft density of the fabric, also known as the weft yarn density or weft density of the fabric. Metric weft density is calculated in units of 10cm (imperial weft density is calculated in 1 inch). The weft density of the fabric depends on the length of the fabric taken up by the take-up mechanism during one working cycle of the loom, that is, each time the loom weaves a weft yarn. The coiling length is long and the weft density is small; the coiling length is short and the weft density is large. Therefore, when changing the fabric variety, if the weft density of the fabric is different, the winding mechanism must be adjusted accordingly.
The weft density of water-jet loom is determined by the combination of three conversion gears A, B and C, see Figure 3-20. The weft density formed by different combinations of the three changing gears is compiled into a table, which is called a weft density table. During actual weaving, select the appropriate number of teeth of the three conversion gears in the weft density table according to the required weft density of the fabric.
(1) To change the weft density, just reorganize the three change gears A, B, and C within the density range that the let-off change gear of the loom can cover.

(2) If you want to change the weft density beyond the density range that the let-off change gear of the loom can cover, you need to reset the let-off change gear and the take-up change gear. combination.
(3) A gears of different specifications have different installation positions on the reeling handle shaft 2, so please pay attention when installing.
3. Automatic cloth tension adjustment device
During the operation of the loom, as the outer diameter of the cloth roll gradually increases, relying on the slipping effect of the take-up brake, the speed of the cloth roll slows down, thereby causing the fabric to Maintain a certain tension, as shown in Figure 3-21. Among them, 14 is the anti-reversal device, which is used to prevent the cloth roller from reversing due to excessive fabric tension during operation of the loom. Automatic adjustment of the roll cloth tension can be achieved by adjusting the handle shaft 2, brake handle 3, torque adjustment nut 9 and locking nut 10.

4. Electronic take-up mechanism
Some water-jet looms have adopted electronic take-up mechanisms. Its structural principle is shown in Figure 3-22. Its main feature is that the coiling mechanism is driven by a separate motor, which is greatly simplified compared with the original mechanical coiling mechanism. To adjust the weft density, you only need to change the motor speed; By programming the fabric weaving program, the winding motor speed is controlled in real time to weave variable weft density fabrics; it is linked with the electronic warp let-off and is uniformly controlled by the loom’s electronic control system, so that the weaving shaft and the cloth take-up roller work synchronously and match each other to remove the weft. Weaving defects such as thin opening, dense weaving, and cloud weaving caused by changes in warp tension can improve fabric quality and facilitate operation.
