Today we are going to talk about suits, some solid information!
1. Shoulders
Shoulders are one of the key parts that reflect whether a man is strong. When we praise a man for being mature, stable, and responsible, we often say that he has “shoulders.” The so-called three-dimensional shoulders mean that after putting on a suit, a man’s shoulders will not feel oppressive because they are too tight, nor will they look listless because they are too wide.
Generally, the shoulder line of a well-fitting suit should be greater than 1/4 of the shoulder line of the body. After putting on the suit, measure the junction of the arm and shoulder with your hands to see if it is consistent with the angle of the body line.
If the suit is too big, the shoulder position will be far beyond your shoulders, and the fabric under the armpits and armholes will easily produce wrinkles; if the suit is too small, wrinkles will appear on the shoulder line and armholes. The tight state is unsightly.
2. Chests
Men may not have chest muscles, but they must have a tall and confident chest.
Similar to three-dimensional shoulders, full chest can better present the aura of a man in a suit. If the chest is too loose, it will look lazy and casual; if the chest is too tight, it will not only be uncomfortable to wear, but also look not elegant and decent.
The appropriate bust size for a suit should be 1-2 inches larger than your actual bust size. One of the criteria for judging whether the bust of a suit fits well is whether there are obvious “X”-shaped folds on the chest after you put it on and button it up. If so, it proves that it is not the best one for you.
3. Waistline
The waistline of a suit is very important. A good waist line can not only modify a man’s body shape, but also enhance the overall sense of capability. Whether the waist line of a suit is well gathered or not is the most obvious indicator of the level of tailoring.
If the waist is not cut well enough, the wearer will look like a rigid rectangle. The sexiness of a man wearing a suit also needs to be reflected by the beauty of his curves – a good suit should have inward lines on both sides of the waist, and the lines at the back of the waist should be concave.
