When we make textiles, we always talk about “Aurora”. What exactly is the aurora here?
Aurora, the full name is Aurora Print, is a fabric defect problem.
Appearance
Part or all of the dyed fabric surface shows an unpleasant luster . The shapes include dot-like, linear, surface-like and chicken-foot-like shapes. Aurora mostly occurs on medium-thick fabrics.
The main reason is that the fabric is pressed in one direction and rubbed by hard objects, causing the fluff of the fabric to fall to one side, which will cause undue fluff after drying or pressing. Some luster.
The parts that often produce auroras during processing are roughly:
(1 ) The cloth guide roller of the singeing machine is uneven, which causes the hot cloth to wrinkle after singeing. The small roller of the cloth throwing frame at the cloth outlet is pressed up and down by friction, causing aurorae that is difficult to eliminate in the wrinkles.
(2) During cooking, the cotton fabric floats up and down in the cooking liquid in the pot and rubs against the pot wall, causing aurora.
(3) When mercerizing, the fabric passes through the suction pump, and the suction force is too large or the fabric is worn incorrectly. On the wall panel of the alkali removal steamer or the steam pipe, Rub one side of the fabric to produce aurora.
(4) There are debris in the dyeing reduction steamer or the friction of the non-smooth cloth guide roller or distribution roller can also cause aurora.
(5) The fixed roller is embedded with debris, and the fabric rubs against it to produce aurora.
(6) During calendering, excessive moisture, temperature and pressure on the cloth surface will cause aurora.
(7) During mechanical weft adjustment, the fabric under pressure will easily produce aurora when it encounters debris and rubs against it.
Overcoming methods
(1) Keep the cloth guide roller smooth and flat , the wrapping cloth of the cloth throwing rack should be even.
(2) Fabrics in cloth cooking pots and other equipment must be prevented from floating up and down or rubbing against the pot wall.
(3) Adjust the suction power of the mercerizing machine’s suction pump, and do not wear the wrong cloth to prevent mercerizing aurora.
(4) Check whether the rollers, cloth guide rollers and distribution rollers are smooth and whether there are any embedded debris. Be careful to prevent debris from falling into the steam box and hot melt box.
(5) During calendering, it is necessary to master the fabric moisture content, temperature, pressure and other conditions, and master the threading route.
