Observe the gloss
True The luster of silk is soft and uniform, bright but not dazzling; the luster of rayon fabric is also bright, but not soft and pleasing to the eye; the luster of polyester yarn is uniform, but there is sparkle or bright silk; the luster of nylon fabric is poor, as if it is painted A waxy feel.
Touch feeling
Silk fabrics have a pulling feeling when you touch them, but other chemical fiber products do not have this feeling; rayon fabrics are smooth and soft, but not stiff; cotton and silk fabrics The hand feels hard but not soft.
Look closely at the creases
When you pinch the silk fabric tightly and then release it, there will be no creases due to its good elasticity; the rayon fabric will have obvious creases and creases after you let go. It is difficult to restore to its original shape; although nylon silk has creases, it can slowly return to its original shape, so don’t be fooled by its illusion.
Test fiber pulling force
Pull out a few fibers from the edge of the fabric and moisten them with your tongue. If it breaks easily at the moistened area, it means it is rayon. If it is not If the wetted part is pulled apart, it is real silk. If the fiber has good strength in wet and dry conditions, and it is not easy to be broken, it is nylon or polyester yarn.
Listen to the friction sound
Because the surface of silk is protected by sericin and is resistant to friction, dry silk fabrics will make a sound when they rub against each other, commonly known as silk chirping or silk chirping. Other chemical fiber products appear silently.
