Fabric requirements for yarn quality
The physical and mechanical properties of any fabric are based on its use requirements, and all physical and mechanical properties of the fabric are related to factors such as the fabric structure and the quality of the warp and weft yarns that make up the fabric. The names, fabric textures, surface styles and yarn quality requirements of the main fabrics are now listed in Table 4-14. In addition, knitted fabrics require a small twist coefficient of the raw yarn, high single strength, and few thick details, so that the knitted fabric has a uniform surface and a soft hand feel. The looped warp yarns of the towel fabric should be evenly dry and have less twist and appearance defects, so that the towel feels soft and has good moisture absorption properties. General fabrics have the following requirements for the quality of warp and weft yarns. (1) The linear density of warp and weft yarns is heavy, and the unevenness quality index and appearance defects should comply with the ministerial standards. (2) The strength of warp yarns should be slightly higher than that of weft yarns, and the appearance defects of weft yarns should be less than that of warp yarns. (3) The twist coefficient of warp and weft yarns should be selected according to the style and use of the fabric and refer to the ministerial regulations. Generally, the warp twist coefficient should be greater than the weft twist coefficient, and the weft twist coefficient of pile fabrics should be smaller than the weft twist coefficient of non-fleece fabrics.
