Fabrics woven from ordinary polyester filaments have the advantages of good strength, smoothness and crispness, easy washing and quick drying, etc. However, they have shortcomings such as hard handle, poor touch, soft finish, poor breathability and hygroscopicity. If compared with silk fabrics, the gap is even greater. Therefore, the silk thread structure must first be simulated to simulate silk in order to eliminate its shortcomings of poor wearing performance. 1. Fiber cutting: Polyester filament quilts have a circular cross-section, which does not have the natural finish and soft feel of silk, and has poor breathability. For this reason, its original properties must be changed through cross-sectional deformation (abnormal shape) and longitudinal deformation (low-elastic finishing) or a combination of the two to achieve the silk effect. The fibers with circular cross-sections are closely arranged and have small gaps, while the fibers with irregular cross-sections cannot be arranged closely due to their irregular shape, and the gaps are correspondingly increased. Therefore, the bulkiness, drape, air permeability and buckling rigidity of special-shaped cross-section fibers are better than those of circular cross-section fibers. There are many types of special-shaped fibers, including triangles, polygons, triangular shapes, etc. Since the cross-section of real silk is triangular, accordingly, using triangular special-shaped silk or triangular special-shaped finishing silk can not only improve the feel and breathability, but also have a finish similar to other silks. Round silk can be used for reinforced twisted crepe fabrics. Because the special-shaped wires are all used after alkali reduction treatment, the hand feel is not much different, and the strength is indeed better than the special-shaped wires.
