Basic structure and working principle of weft insertion mechanism
The function of the weft insertion mechanism is to introduce the weft yarn into the shed so that it can be interlaced with the warp yarn to form a fabric. The weft insertion mechanism of the water-jet loom uses water as the carrier, and uses the jet of high-pressure water to introduce the weft yarn into the shed by relying on the friction of the water flow and the spinning yarn. This gives the water-jet loom an advantage in terms of speed, labor saving, and energy saving. , but only for weaving hydrophobic fabrics.
1. Basic structure and working principle
As shown in Figure 3-1, when the loom is running, the rotation of the water pump cam 2 causes the pump cam rod 3 to pull the plunger to the left, causing the water pump to absorb water from the pontoon box 9 , water is sprayed out from the nozzle 8 after being pressurized. At the same time, the yarn presser opens and releases the weft yarn, which is driven by the water flow from one side of the fabric to the other side. After the weft insertion is completed, the yarn presser closes and clamps the weft yarn until the next weft insertion.
When the loom is stopped, step on the weft insertion pedal 10, the pump rod 4 pushes the pump cam lever 3, pull the water pump plunger, the pontoon box absorbs water, release the pedal, and the nozzle will spray water, completing one weft insertion .
