Scope of application and fabric types
The applicable scope of water-jet loom is an important indicator reflecting the performance of the loom. It is related to parameters such as fabric type, warp and weft yarn type, warp and weft density range, effective width specification, shedding mechanism form (number of heald frames or jacquard needles), number of weft colors, roll diameter, weaving beam disc diameter, etc.
1. The variety of spinning yarn or the weight of the fabric
The variety of spinning yarn mainly refers to the type of fiber and the linear density of the spinning yarn. Water-jet looms are mainly suitable for various hydrophobic viscose yarns. For the weaving of silk and chemical fibers, in terms of yarn linear density, filaments are generally 40 to 460 dtex, and some looms can reach 30 to 1000 dtex.
Since the linear density of spinning yarn directly affects the weight of the fabric, the weight of the fabric can also be used to illustrate the weaving ability. The applicable range of general water-jet looms is 50-400g/m2, and the weight of some special loom fabrics can reach 600g/m2.
2. The effective width of the loom
On the loom, the effective width is represented by the effective width of the reed of the warp yarn, and the development of water-jet looms tends to be wider. At present, the effective width range of water-jet looms can reach 150~350cm.
3. Shedding forms
Water jet looms have four shedding forms: cam, dobby, jacquard and connecting rod. The cam shedding mechanism can be equipped with 8 heald frames at most, and the dobby shedding mechanism can be equipped with 16 heald frames at most. frame. More complex jacquard fabrics need to adopt a jacquard opening mechanism, and 1344 needles or 2688 needles are commonly used. The number of heald frame pages or jacquard machine needles of the shedding mechanism determines the size of the pattern change of the fabric. It is equipped with a jacquard shedding mechanism, which can basically meet the needs of various chemical fiber fabric weaves.
4. Weft density range
The weft density range of general fabrics is 50 to 500 wefts/10cm, and compact fabrics can be as high as 600 wefts/10cm.
5. The diameter of the weaving beam disc and the diameter of the cloth roll
These two data indicate the frequency of replacement of the weaving beam and cloth rolls. The diameter of the weaving beam side plate is generally 800mm, and can be up to 1000mm. The trend in the development of looms is towards large packages. The diameter of the roll cloth on the machine is generally 420~520mm.
6. The number of weft colors
Water-jet looms are generally single-color or double-color, and some looms can have up to 3 colors.
After more than ten years of weaving practice on domestic water-jet looms, it has been shown that various models of water-jet looms have particularly wide adaptability and are now widely used in industrial silk fabrics and various types of chemical fiber fabrics.
According to the end use of fabrics, they can be divided into three categories: clothing fabrics, household fabrics and industrial fabrics. Examples of fabrics produced are as follows: peach skin brushed, stretch fabric, pongee, Taslon, Huayao, double-sided fabric (big difference in tissue points between front and back), washed velvet, georgette, jacquard silk fabric, combed Cotton, high silk fabric, chiffon, corduroy, trolley cloth, curtain fabric, double-twisted curtain fabric, Drupon satin, imitation silk fabric, umbrella silk (super fine denier high-density fabric), etc.
The weaving range of various types of water-jet looms is different, and special structures are required for weaving special fabrics.
